More Than Just Screen

 Technology and my daily life

Let's be honest, if someone took my phone away for 24 hours, I would probably feel like I have lost a limb. I know that sounds dramatic, but it's true. Technology is not just something I use once in a while, It has a deeper connection to how I live every single day. I don't just scroll for fun; I learn from motivational quotes, stay connected with my friends and family through Instagram and Whats App, and explore new ideas from people all over the world. I listen to my favourite artists when I am feeling sad, angry, or overwhelmed. Sometimes, tech is my escape from reality when things get too loud or stressful, and honestly, I think that's okay.

The role of Technology in my routine

I use technology from the moment I wake up until I go to bed. My alarm is on my phone, and the first thing I do most mornings is check my notifications. I do all of my schoolwork on my Chromebook, whether it is writing an assignment or joining an online class. And when I need a break or want to relax, I put in my wireless earbuds and listen to music that matches my mood or vibes, sometimes it even feels like the playlist knows exactly what I need to hear. Whether I am walking outside or just lying in my bed, tech is always a part of the moment.

How Technology help me explore

Even when I am outside or going somewhere new, I rely on technology to help me out. I use Google Maps so I don't get lost, and translation apps when I don't understand something, especially when I am in a place where people speak another language. Sometimes I use my phone to look up for cool places nearby or find something interesting to do when I am bored. For me, tech is not just about screen, it actually gives me confidence and independence. It helps me to figure out things on my own. It does not make me feel disconnected from the world.

The downside of Technology

Even though I use technology every day and it depends on it a lot, I know it's not a good idea. Sometimes I spend way too much time on my phone without even noticing the time. I'll open an app just to check something, and suddenly an hour is gone. Social media can be fun, but it can also mess with how I feel about others. I've also noticed that when I spend too much time on screens, I get tired or my body sometimes even starts to shake. it's not that tech is bad, it's just that it's easy to lose control if you're not paying attention. That's why I try to take breaks, focus on real conversations, and use tech in ways that actually help me instead of just passing time.

Final thought on Technology

At the end of the day, technology is a part of who I am. It helps me to learn, grow, relax, and stay connected to the world around me. I know technology can be distracting sometimes, but I believe it's about how we choose to use it. Instead of seeing it as screen time, maybe we should see it as a tool that helps us live smarter and feel more connected. For me, tech is not something to be ashamed of, it's something I've learned to balance and use in a way that makes my life better. From waking up with an alarm to ending the day with the music, it stays inside my soul. Have you ever thought about how much of your personality actually lives inside your phone or laptop?
